Musings on Endings

I’m still struggling a little bit to get Corridors to end. The story just wants to go on and on. The climax is lasting for like 20,000 words and it’s still going. But one of my coworkers, who’s a fellow writer, told me something I already knew: let the story finish on it’s own. If you force it, you’ll wreck it.

I really want to be done with it so I can move onto someone else, but there’s another project that’s coming up that I should do during my lunches. And I need to work on this other thing quickly. No, you don’t get to know what it is, so don’t ask.

Now, if I can only manage to get some sleep once in a while…

Yeah, who am I kidding? That’s never going to happen.
